Almost 7 weeks

Drew is almost 7 weeks old. It is true what they say that they get older so fast. By no means is he old, but we are seeing new things everyday and that gives us more time to reflect on his changes. Some fun new things include losing most of his hair on the top of his head with the exception of a very healthy mullet in the back, a couple new sounds have entered his "vocabulary" and he has increased his little appetite eating double what he did a couple weeks ago.
We had some professional photos done recently which you will see more of as we get them printed and distributed. Drew's Mama is heading back to work in a couple weeks but we have been blessed enough to find an great nanny share. We will be sharing a nanny during the day with one other baby which makes us feel very comfortable and less fearful of all the dreaded daycare germies.....
Question for our audience? Do you think our little man is looking more like his daddy or mommy these days?

I am 5 weeks old

Sorry for the two week delay in new pics. Things have been super busy and our blog editor (daddy) has been on the road a little. Drew is coming into his own. Besides appearing to be much heavier and longer, he seems to be much more alert and aware of his surroundings. He is definitely eating more and filling out, now complete with chubby cheaks. Our one month Dr. appt is this week and we are curious to see how much he has really gained. Mommy is loving the time with the little man at home and has done a good job getting him on a schedule.

Drew's grandma and his Auntie JJ from Boston are heading down this week to meet the little man so we are excited about that.

3 Week Old

As we start week 4 with our little man so far we are feeling very good, super positive and extremely blessed. Drew has been more than a good sport during our first three weeks together. He seems to enjoy sleeping at night (sometimes up to 5.5 hours), eats like a champ and really only cries when there is something that we can fix. Despite the good luck we have had so far, we are keenly aware that we have growth spurts, belly aches and some rough patches ahead where we may not be so lucky with his demeanor. We are enjoying what we have now and ready to roll with our new found enjoyment of being Drew's parents.

I will note that there has a been a theme amongst his parents that we never knew there were THIS many diapers for the little babes. It seems that if you need to do anything around the house you might as well stop by his room and change a diaper while you are in the process of your chore as there is a 97% chance it could stand being replaced. We are still looking for the secret as to how to handle little men when you change their diaper. There has got to be a way to plan for "that moment" when in the process of the diaper replacements the cool air rushes in and we get a little sprinkler on our hands. Any suggestions besides the PP TP?
